A Bibliometric Analysis: Trend of Studies in Self-Regulated Learning Over The Past Three Decades

Many studies measure self-regulated learning in some fields but still a few the education field or related fields. This study aimed to analyze performance analysis and science mapping research trend over past three decades. Therefore, it was conducted using bibliometric method on 2106 documents published period 1990-2022 from Scopus database. Those are limited final stage, English, journal source type, article document type. The chosen subject areas were art humanities, psychology, social sciences which have relation with field. data process assisted by Publish Perish VOSviewer software examine publication citation-related metric, publication, citation analysis, co-authorship co-word analysis. results of this development regarding decades presented that: 1) publication-and-related metric showed that there 2,106 papers distributed range has 20,752 citations h-index value is lower than g-index value, 2) publication-and-citation relatively fluctuative periods constant particular year, 3) most influential written B. J. Zimmerman 2008 been cited around 1664 times, 4) author who collaborated other authors Järvelä, S., 5) United Stated productive country make learning, 6) organization University Oulu, Finland Department Educational Psychology, Graduate Center, City New York, 7) ‘self-regulated learning’ keyword occurrence amount 1766 times. These findings provide an overview evolution during last examines time longer previous studies. As consequence, its resulting contribution also larger, providing field's 30 years researchers comprehensive resource for performing research.
